"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served,
but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
It is our hope to see men, women, and youth using their time, talents, and resources to share and invest in the gospel. Outreach can take place in our local church, our community, our nation, or around the world. Serving is the use of what God has given us, our minds, strong bodies, presence, intellect, and passion to encourage and edify (to build up) the church.
Philippians 2:3-4 teaches us, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." This also follows from the example of Jesus himself in John 13, when after the meal, he took off his cloak, wrapped a towel around his waist and began washing his disciple's feet.
